Your Circle of People
Let’s talk about the people around us, because the people in our circle largely shape the script of our lives.
Whether we like it or not, we are all actors on a stage. The setting may be given, but we choose the role we play. Still, it is the people around us who determine how that role is lived out. No matter which life script we choose, its realization — and our experience of it — depends on others.
There are four groups of people in our lives:
1️⃣ People who shouldn’t be there.
They are present for various reasons, but they do not belong in your circle.
2️⃣ People you tolerate.
You interact with them, but without genuine desire. You endure them, forgive them, and hope they will change, grow, or eventually support you.
3️⃣ People who are missing.
You need them, but they are not in your life. You can’t seem to find the right employees, reliable partners, friends who share your interests, a spouse, an investor, a designer, a writer — whoever is essential for your path.
4️⃣ Your assets. People you need and who are already present. These are your true allies.
