Support, Its Importance, and the People Who Help You Grow
Support opens our eyes to our desires and helps us stay mindful. It gives us clarity, focus, and confidence.
Confidence — and our ability to make choices — depends on the quality of the support we have.
One of the main misconceptions is that support is an exchange of energy. This isn’t true. We either take or give — there is no such thing as an equal exchange.
Supportive people are those “from below.” They don’t help us grow, but they don’t let us fall either. They are the foundation — stable and reliable — but they don’t push us upward. People from above are our “paid” friends — mentors, coaches, or guides — they are the ones who help us grow.
People from the side are co-vectors — those who move in the same direction as we do. The quality of support can be felt — either physically or through understanding.
